The premise
You are Dr. Mehdi Algun, a linguist whose work on pattern and noise suddenly intersects with something buried under ice—an obsidian structure broadcasting a rhythm that should not synchronize with living systems. The trip north was never optional.
Inside a classified perimeter, teams measure what they cannot safely approach. The longer you listen, the more the facility feels like a mouth slowly closing.

What you are walking into
You are Dr. Mehdi Algun, a linguist and researcher specializing in cutting edge pattern analysis. When military operatives arrive unannounced at your New York research lab, you're given no choice. Within hours, you're on a transport to a classified facility in the Arctic Circle. An impossible obsidian pyramid has appeared around the world broadcasting signals no machine or person can decode.
You shouldn't have said yes.
As you crack each layer of the Pyramid's puzzles, you get closer to the truth at the cost of sanity. Scientists walk into the pyramid and immolate. Others walk into the arctic storms and are found frozen to death.
You and your colleague Sarah are the only ones that can get to the bottom of this. One by one, 82 people feed the pyramid their suffering. Their fear. Their death.
And you? You've been dreaming of this pyramid your entire life. It's been waiting for you. It knows what you did as a child. It knows the darkness you carry.
The pyramid has a purpose. When the time comes, you'll have a choice: kneel and become the herald of annihilation, or join the cleansed.
Some survival is worse than death.
Unravel a recursive unknown language that doesn't just describe reality, but alters it. Every translation brings you closer to understanding. Every understanding brings you closer to transformation. The limits of your language are the limits of your world. This language has no limits.

From the developer
I started drawing and imagining Black Triangles and Pyramids years before the idea for a Video Game. I decided the only way to confront it was to construct it,piece by piece, in a medium that was experienceable, cinematic and visually grounded in reality.
The Black Pyramid is where cosmic dread meets linguistic pattern obsession: the horror of understanding something you should never have been able to parse.
This is a long, unflinching descent. Slow dread over cheap jump scares and narrative shocks. If you enjoy cinematic narratives that are built and rooted in hyper realistic detail, immersion and psychological horror, then the Black Pyramid is for you.
